Welcome to my blog!
Adventur-ish is all about my travels and work in the USA, Colombia, and wherever life takes me next. The title comes from the way I feel about life and travel: some days I can’t wait to explore the world, and other days all I want is to be back in Pennsylvania snuggled up with my cocker spaniel.

I originally moved to Colombia in June 2015 as a volunteer with WorldTeach. They gave me training on how to teach English in a Colombian classroom, and within 6 weeks of college graduation I was doing just that. I taught high school level English in two different public schools in Cartagena de Indias. During my breaks from school I took trips all over Colombia, you’ll find posts about my trips in the Colombia Travels section.
After my year of teaching I went back home to Pennsylvania where I lived for about 6 months before deciding to spend more time in Colombia. In 2017 I lived in Medellín for about four months, then in Vermont, and then another few months in Pennsylvania. In 2018 I’m moving to Portland Maine to take part in the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies at the Maine College of Art.
